he WOCOA is a non-profit organization that serves anyone age 60 plus (or their spouse). The Walton County Council on Aging was incorporated in October 1967 under the name Walton County Citizens Advisory Council on Aging, Inc. We received our tax-exempt status as a 501-(c) (4) in October 1969 & updated to a 501-(c) (3) in October 2002. In November of 2011 we acquired Okaloosa County also and then changed our name to Walton Okaloosa Council on Aging.
Our Mission is to assist the older population in need to remain independent with dignity in their own home environment and to serve as an advocate for those who have no one to speak on their behalf. This dual mission is accomplished through a variety of direct services.
